BungaBet was initially a physical betting company. They have over 30 shops in East Africa.
I was hired to assess their online business and find the right turnkey solution for them. As part of this project, I was lucky enough to visit the International Casino Exhibition in London, and flew out to Uganda and Kenya numerous times to conduct my research and find the best solution.
On my visit to East Africa, I realised how different online payments worked out there. For example, only about 10% of the population used credit cards and the most common means of payment (after cash) was Money Mobile. With this in mind, I integrated Mobile Money into the site as a payment method and built a USSD and SMS betting application as most users did not possess smartphones.
I also worked on successful Investment Memorandums to assist with building the right content for this presentation, which also captured the essence of the BungaBet brand and its vision.
In addition to this, I was responsible for the branding, promotions and marketing, covering everything from social media influencer campaigns, to TV adverts.
